Equine Farm Property Underwriter
Job Summary
To implement and grow a profitable book of farm property and liability insurance within the Equine segment, the full-time AVP Underwriting - Equine Farm Property will manage risk submissions, oversee a team, and develop market strategies while ensuring exemplary customer service for broker partners.
Key responsibilities
- Review new risk submissions, renewals, and endorsement requests within underwriting guidelines
- Manage and develop the underwriting team as the business expands
- Assist in the development and implementation of the division business plan and market strategy
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience in equine farm underwriting
- 5+ years of management experience preferred
- AFIS or CPCU designation desired
- In-depth knowledge of rating, forms, and underwriting requirements
