Equine Farm Underwriter

Job Summary

To implement and grow a profitable book of farm property and liability insurance in the Equine segment, the full-time AVP Underwriter will manage risk submissions, oversee an underwriting team, and ensure exemplary customer service for broker partners, with options for remote work available.

Key responsibilities

• Review new risk submissions, renewals, and endorsement requests within underwriting guidelines
• Manage and develop the underwriting team as the business expands
• Communicate effectively with broker partners to foster relationships and encourage targeted business submissions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
• 10+ years of experience in equine farm underwriting required
• 5+ years of management experience preferred
• AFIS or CPCU designation desired
• In-depth knowledge of rating, forms, and underwriting requirements
