Equine Underwriter

Job Summary

Providing risk analysis and entry-level underwriting support, the full-time Associate Underwriter will assess equine risks and maintain accurate policy files while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver competent and timely service to brokers under the guidance of underwriting management
• Assess and rate equine risks using established underwriting guidelines and accurate pricing
• Perform technical underwriting duties including policy creation, data entry, and assisting with data reporting

Required qualifications

• Preferred college degree in a relevant field
• Previous experience in equine/farm insurance is preferred
• Hands-on experience with equine or equine farm activities is preferred
• Strong emphasis on customer service and relationship building
• General working knowledge of MS Office and data reporting tools
