Equipment Buyer

Job Summary

To support a growing rental fleet, the full-time salaried Equipment Buyer will source and procure new and used power distribution equipment and rental assets, ensuring timely acquisitions that meet operational demands in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase new generators, climate control units, and light towers while negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers
• Monitor the used equipment market, evaluate potential acquisitions, and coordinate pre-purchase inspections
• Issue purchase orders, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with procurement procedures and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
• 10+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, particularly with capital equipment and fleet acquisition
• Working knowledge of mobile power generation and temporary power distribution equipment
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in securing favorable terms on high-value purchases
• Proficiency in Netsuite ERP or other enterprise asset management software
