ESG Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives, the full-time ESG Compliance Specialist will develop and implement plans for environmental regulatory compliance, manage environmental impact assessments, and oversee certifications while working in a hybrid or fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and communicate compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives across various jurisdictions
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and manage sustainability reporting, including corporate sustainability assessments and third-party audits
• Assist in the development of responsible sourcing programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Law, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in a global ESG role within a corporate setting
• Familiarity with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks and US state-level packaging laws is strongly preferred
• Experience in maintaining corporate responsible sourcing programs is preferred
