EU Licensed Associate General Counsel
Job Summary
Providing strategic legal counsel on clinical and commercial matters, the full-time remote EU Licensed Associate General Counsel will advise on regulatory issues, data privacy, and compliance within the biopharmaceutical sector, while supporting cross-functional teams in navigating complex legal landscapes.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary legal adviser on clinical and commercial operations, addressing regulatory and operational legal issues
- Support privacy compliance and data protection frameworks, including GDPR and HIPAA, while advising business stakeholders on related matters
- Monitor legal developments and recommend compliance strategies for clinical research, privacy, and emerging technologies
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of legal experience, with at least 7 years in-house at a clinical research organization or biopharmaceutical company
- Experience with global clinical trials and advising on patient access/support programs
- Familiarity with global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR
- Knowledge of EU workforce matters and employee relations
- Experience in managing privacy program implementations and data protection assessments
