Job Summary
As the strategic technical lead and architect for enterprise Observability, APM, and Telemetry ecosystems, the full-time remote Expert Observability Engineer will manage the transformation to a unified, automated observability framework across hybrid cloud and legacy environments while driving Site Reliability Engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and govern a unified observability framework using tools such as IBM Instana and Grafana, and lead First-of-a-Kind implementations
- Define Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Objectives (SLOs), leading major incident war rooms and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Drive Observability-as-Code and infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Python, automating deployment and configuration workflows
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of total IT experience, with 5 to 7 years as a Lead Architect, SRE, or Principal Observability Engineer in a large enterprise environment
- Proven experience in migrating organizations from legacy monitoring to proactive observability platforms
- Hands-on expertise in building scalable telemetry pipelines and time-series databases
- Extensive experience leading complex vendor transitions and operational readiness programs
- Preferred certifications include CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or Cloud Architect (AWS/Azure)
