Job Summary
To support ongoing activities for a customer in Washington, DC, the fully remote External Audit Consultant will evaluate cloud internal controls, manage financial applications, and lead financial IT audits while developing compliance documentation and solutions to minimize vulnerabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in evaluating, developing, and maintaining the technology compliance program
- Prepare technology departments for yearly financial statement audits and SOX internal control reviews
- Assess and validate SOX Risk Control Matrices and document findings and recommendations
Required qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience as an IT auditor, IT security analyst, or related roles
- Experience with evaluating cloud internal controls reports, SOC-1, and SOC-2
- Strong knowledge of SOX, FISCAM, or COBIT compliance
- CISSP or CISA certification is strongly desired
- Experience with financial systems and tools such as Workday or Coupa is a plus
