External Communications Director

Job Summary

Providing expert communications leadership, the contract External Communications Associate Director will manage clinical regulatory writing activities, author complex documents, and drive strategic communication initiatives while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage clinical regulatory writing activities across a complex portfolio of work
• Lead internal and external authoring teams, ensuring timely and quality delivery of clinical-regulatory documents
• Drive the development of the clinical Submission Communication Strategy (cSCS) and advocate for quality and efficiency in communication standards

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline; Ph.D. is desirable
• Significant medical writing experience in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO
• Strong understanding of drug development and communication processes
• In-depth knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements related to the role
• Proven ability to advise and lead communication projects effectively
