FAA Licensed Aerospace Science Professor

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time, remote FAA Licensed Aerospace Science Professor, the successful candidate will teach 18 semester hours of aviation maintenance courses to transitioning military members in 9-week cohorts, while also providing mentorship to support their successful employment in the aviation maintenance industry.

Key responsibilities

• Teach aviation maintenance courses in 9-week cohorts, conducting face-to-face classes for 8 hours per day
• Mentor students in the aviation maintenance industry to facilitate their transition into successful careers
• Stay current with industry needs and requirements to enhance course content and student support

Required qualifications

• Earned Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
• Desire to assist transitioning military members into civil aviation maintenance careers
• Background in providing military technical training is preferred but not required
