Facility Security Officer (FSO)

Job Summary

To support the growth of its federal business, the full-time Facility Security Officer (FSO) will build and manage the industrial security program, serve as the appointed FSO with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and ensure compliance with national security regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage FCL sponsorship and maintenance, including personnel lifecycle processes in DISS/NBIS
• Deliver security briefings and maintain accurate personnel-security records
• Serve as the primary contact with DCSA, advising on government security requirements and conducting self-inspections

Required qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret
• 7+ years of industrial- or personnel-security experience, including 3+ years as an appointed FSO or Assistant FSO
• Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and the NISPOM
• Hands-on experience with DISS/NBIS, NISS, eApp, and FCL processing
• Completion of the applicable DCSA/CDSE FSO curriculum or ability to complete it within six months of appointment
