Farm-Level Sustainability Consultant

Job Summary

Providing technical guidance to national experts, the part-time Senior Expert on Farm-Level Sustainability Indicators will develop a comprehensive set of sustainability indicators for farm-level practices in Azerbaijan, working remotely on a When Actually Employed (WAE) basis.

Key responsibilities

• Guide national experts in developing new farm-level sustainability indicators, including those for fisheries and pasture management
• Review and provide technical recommendations on draft indicators to ensure methodological soundness and alignment with sustainability goals
• Conduct final technical reviews and participate in project meetings to support the implementation of sustainability indicators

Required qualifications

• Advanced university degree in agricultural or environmental sciences or related field; bachelor's degree with two additional years of relevant experience is acceptable
• At least 5 years of experience in developing or applying farm-level sustainability assessments
• Proven experience in developing sustainability assessment frameworks and providing guidance to national teams
• Strong understanding of agricultural production systems and sustainability challenges
• Familiarity with data sources relevant to sustainability measurement
