FDA Compliance General Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing direct-to-consumer health technology company, the full-time remote FDA Compliance General Counsel will lead the legal function, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, reviewing commercial agreements, and providing legal guidance on marketing and advertising practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the company's data privacy and protection strategy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, FTC guidance, and state privacy laws
• Review and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor and partnership contracts
• Provide legal guidance on marketing claims and advertising compliance to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law
• 4+ years of legal experience, preferably in healthtech or direct-to-consumer environments
• Experience with data privacy and consumer data regulations such as HIPAA and CCPA/CPRA
• Strong background in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
• Experience advising on marketing claims and advertising compliance
