Federal Business Development Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on dealmaker, the full-time Federal Business Development Manager will expand the federal portfolio with a focus on the Department of Homeland Security and Department of War, building relationships, managing opportunities from identification to award, and ensuring the protection and growth of existing accounts in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and convert a qualified federal pipeline targeting opportunities within DHS and DoW
- Develop and maintain relationships with program leaders, contracting officials, and industry partners
- Lead opportunities through all phases from qualification to award, ensuring effective customer engagement and proposal strategy
Required qualifications
- At least eight years of federal business development or capture experience with a proven portfolio
- Documented record of federal wins and strong relationships within DHS and DoW
- Knowledge of federal buying behavior, acquisition cycles, and competitive procurements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and U.S. citizenship
- Confidence and executive presence to engage with senior government customers and partners
