Federal Financial Consultant

Job Summary

To support federal financial operations, the remote Federal Financial Management Consultant will translate financial-management requirements into validated business processes for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, advising teams on accounting, budget execution, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Define and validate financial mappings and analyze accounting events and financial close procedures
• Translate financial policy into requirements and support internal controls and audit evidence documentation
• Review reconciliations and financial statements while coordinating with Government financial owners

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial management or accounting, with 3+ years in federal or DoD operations
• Applied knowledge of USSGL, SFIS, and federal fund accounting
• Experience with financial controls, audit support, and translating policy into system requirements
• Ability to explain accounting events and coordinate financial decisions with Government owners
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
