FHA VA Licensed Mortgage Underwriter
Job Summary
Evaluating mortgage loan applications, the full-time FHA VA Licensed Mortgage Underwriter will analyze financial documents and creditworthiness while ensuring compliance with regulations, working remotely to support efficient loan origination processes.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite a minimum of three new loan files per day and review updated loan files within required turn times
- Analyze loan documentation for accuracy and assess credit, income, asset, and collateral risk factors
- Provide underwriting support for FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, Non-Agency, and Jumbo loan products in accordance with company policy
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of five years of experience underwriting agency mortgage loans and secondary market guidelines
- FHA Direct Endorsement (CHUMS) and VA SAR/LAPP designations required
- Experience with Jumbo and Non-Agency products preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
