Fiber Engineer

Job Summary

Designing physical fiber paths across the network, the full-time Fiber Engineer will manage inventory through database tracking of fiber assets and collaborate with various teams, while working remotely within the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design routes for fiber-based services, including point-to-point and ring configurations
• Research existing databases for network design and fiber optimization
• Ensure the fiber optic database is current by inputting data and maintaining inventory accuracy

Required qualifications

• 4-Year College Degree in Engineering or equivalent Telecom Network Experience
• Minimum of five years of fiber design experience, including ring configurations and FTT projects
• Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Visio; knowledge of Salesforce.com and GIS platforms is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Fiber Network Design preferred
• Work experience within the Telecom Industry preferred
