Job Summary
To support the planning and design of fiber optic infrastructure for high-tech facilities, the remote Inside Plant (ISP) Fiber Optic Engineer will manage the coordination and delivery of pathways, cabling, and telecommunications spaces while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design and coordinate inside plant pathways, fiber optic cabling, and telecommunications infrastructure
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure resiliency, scalability, and maintainability of fiber connectivity solutions
- Oversee the installation, testing, documentation, and maintenance of fiber optic systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience in designing and supporting ISP telecommunications and fiber optic infrastructure
- Working knowledge of fiber optic cabling, pathways, and telecommunications spaces
- Ability to read and develop engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
