Fiber Test & Acceptance Project Manager

Job Summary

Managing the end-to-end fiber testing and acceptance process for long-haul Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic infrastructure, the full-time Fiber Test & Acceptance Project Manager will ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications while working remotely within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete fiber testing and acceptance process, including reviewing and analyzing test results and ensuring compliance with technical standards
• Manage multiple fiber testing projects, coordinating activities from construction completion through acceptance and final closeout
• Provide daily oversight of contractors and vendors, monitoring performance and ensuring adherence to project milestones and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field preferred
• Minimum of seven years of telecommunications experience involving OSP fiber infrastructure and project management
• Demonstrated experience managing fiber splicing, testing, acceptance, and project closeout activities
• Strong working knowledge of fiber optic testing methodologies and equipment, particularly OTDR and insertion loss testing
• Proficiency with project management tools and documentation systems, including Microsoft Office and Salesforce
