Fiber Test Project Manager

Job Summary

Leading the testing and validation of long-haul Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic infrastructure, the full-time remote Fiber Test Project Manager will manage the end-to-end fiber testing and acceptance process, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the complete fiber testing and acceptance process for OSP fiber deployment projects
• Coordinate project activities from construction completion through splicing, testing, and final closeout
• Provide daily oversight of splicing, testing, and construction vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Minimum of seven years of telecommunications experience involving OSP fiber infrastructure and project management
• Proven experience managing fiber splicing, testing, acceptance, and project closeout activities
• Strong working knowledge of fiber optic testing methodologies and equipment, particularly OTDR and insertion loss testing
• Experience managing project budgets, contractor invoicing, and change-order management
