Field Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of Solutions Architects, the full-time Sr. Manager, Field Engineering will drive technical sales efforts in the Financial Services sector, focusing on enterprise software and data solutions, while supporting remote candidates primarily in the Northeast or Midwest.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Architects to enhance customer success with Databricks' offerings
• Establish and maintain relationships across the organization to ensure team and customer success
• Ensure the team stays ahead of technical advancements in the Databricks technology stack through continuous learning and development

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data-related fields, particularly with technical products such as data warehousing and machine learning
• Proven experience in building and leading technical pre-sales teams, including hiring and mentoring
• Strong understanding of consumption-driven business models and strategies for growth
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams
• Technical proficiency to gain the trust of engineering talent and guide architectural discussions
