Finance Director

Job Summary

Leading the financial operations of the hotel, the full-time salaried Director of Finance will oversee payroll, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing timely financial reports to leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual operating budget and financial goals, ensuring adherence to accounting practices and expenditure controls
• Conduct monthly financial reviews and forecasts, guiding department heads on cost management and operational planning
• Implement internal control procedures and conduct performance appraisals for management staff to promote accountability and development

Required qualifications

• A four-year college degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience
• Five to ten years of experience in a related finance position within the hospitality industry
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance principles specific to hotel operations
• Ability to analyze financial data and develop actionable insights for decision-making
• Experience in training and managing accounting staff and conducting performance evaluations
