Finance Director

Job Summary

Leading the finance function for a business unit, the remote full-time Director of Finance & Business Operations will manage forecasting, budgeting, revenue operations, and procurement while partnering with executive leadership and overseeing a team of analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Own planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for the business unit, acting as a finance partner to leadership
• Manage the Business Operations Analyst and Finance Operations Analyst, setting priorities and ensuring continuity across financial processes
• Direct customer billing, contract setup, and revenue recognition, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government contracting standards

Required qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive finance experience in a federal or defense contractor environment, with at least three years in a management role
• Demonstrated ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for a P&L
• Experience with order-to-cash operations, including invoicing and collections
• Working knowledge of U.S. federal contracting and FAR/DFARS cost principles
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
