Finance Operations Generalist

Job Summary

Owning the financial and business operations in a full-time remote capacity, the Finance Operations Generalist will manage accounting tasks, coordinate month-end close processes, and oversee contracts and procurement while driving operational improvements across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Validate invoices, collect vendor documentation, and schedule payments as part of accounting operations
• Coordinate month-end close activities, providing necessary information and investigating discrepancies
• Manage contracts and procurement by negotiating vendor terms and tracking commitments and renewals

Required qualifications

• Experience in accounting or finance operations, preferably at a fast-growing startup
• Strong understanding of invoices, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Proficiency with financial systems such as QuickBooks, Stripe, or similar tools
• Ability to handle confidential financial information and maintain meticulous records
• Comfort with learning unfamiliar systems and managing ambiguous problems
