Job Summary

Managing financial clearance for post-acute admissions, the full-time remote Financial Access Specialist will verify insurance eligibility, manage prior authorizations, and ensure accurate documentation in Epic while collaborating with various departments to support patient access and financial accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for inpatient admissions and outpatient services
• Initiate and manage prior authorization requests, ensuring timely progression and documentation
• Monitor Epic Workqueues to prioritize and support time-sensitive admissions and procedures

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of patient access, hospital registration, or revenue cycle experience
• Proficiency in Epic, particularly in workqueue management and authorization documentation
• Knowledge of prior authorization workflows and payer portal navigation
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
