Financial Care Counselor

Job Summary

To support the Patient Revenue Management Organization, the remote Financial Care Counselor will manage patient accounts, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and facilitating payment options while working Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately complete patient accounts and ensure all insurance requirements are met prior to patient arrival
• Analyze insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations to facilitate timely reimbursement
• Resolve insurance claim rejections and assist patients in arranging payment options, including government funding sources

Required qualifications

• High school education with some postsecondary education preferred
• Two years of experience in hospital service access, clinical service access, or billing and collections
• Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field with one year of public interaction experience, or a bachelor's degree with one year of public interaction experience
• Working knowledge of compliance principles and billing processes
