Financial Clearance Representative

Job Summary

To support a dynamic healthcare team, the full-time remote Financial Clearance Representative will contact patients to collect insurance information, verify coverage with payors, and assess financial capabilities while ensuring excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Contact patients to collect accurate coverage information and verify insurance eligibility
• Utilize health information systems to reduce duplicate patient records and assess financial ability to pay for services
• Create estimates and provide financial liability education to patients while collecting necessary copayments and deposits

Required qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 1+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and establish effective working relationships
• Experience with PC applications including MS Office and Internet
• Ability to maintain employer training requirements
