Financial Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

To support financial operations, the full-time Financial Clearance Specialist will verify insurance benefits, obtain necessary authorizations, and ensure accurate data entry in the EMR while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Verifies insurance benefits for new patients prior to the Initial Evaluation
• Obtains authorizations for services as required by insurance plans
• Monitors authorizations and eligibility status to prevent revenue loss

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 1-2 years of financial clearance experience in a medical practice or health care setting preferred
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other government assistance programs
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and customer service approach
