Job Summary
To support patient care, the full-time remote Financial Clearance Specialist will manage insurance certification, verify patient information, and evaluate financial assistance options for patients.
Key responsibilities
- Obtains insurance certification for office visits and registers cases in the tracking system
- Evaluates patient assets and liabilities to determine their ability to pay and guides them in applying for financial assistance
- Completes pre-certification and necessary paperwork while addressing reimbursement issues
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of insurance policies, claims, and payment regulations
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently
- Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting
