Job Summary

To support patient care, the full-time Financial Clearance Specialist will efficiently obtain pre-authorizations for scheduled services and medications in a remote setting, while collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve authorization scenarios and confirm insurance eligibility.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain pre-authorizations for services and medications requiring clinical knowledge
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to resolve authorization issues and confirm insurance eligibility
• Collect and verify insurance information, document authorization details, and support billing-related follow-up

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
• Experience with insurance authorizations preferred
• Knowledge of medical billing and collections on medical claims
• Exposure to medical coding concepts, including diagnosis and CPT information
