Financial Controller
Job Summary
To support the finance team, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll operations, and tax compliance while ensuring accurate month-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding and timely payments
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and perform payroll reconciliations
- Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings and maintain compliance calendars
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Proactive and self-motivated with a resourceful mindset for resolving operational issues
- Good working knowledge of GAAP and basic month-end close routines
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
- Exposure to tools like Avalara, PEO platforms, or subscription billing/CRM software
