Job Summary

Managing day-to-day accounting operations, the remote Financial Controller will oversee full-cycle accounts payable, payroll processing, and tax compliance while supporting month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, payment processing, and resolving inquiries
• Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and perform payroll reconciliations for month-end close
• Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proactive and resourceful mindset, with the ability to resolve operational challenges independently
• Good working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting principles, and month-end close routines
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills
• Familiarity with tools like Avalara, PEO platforms, or CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot
