Financial Controller

Job Summary

To oversee complex financial operations for multiple clients, the full-time Financial Controller will manage accounting processes, prepare financial statements, and guide strategic decision-making in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the outsourced controller for multiple clients, acting as the primary contact and building relationships with business owners and finance teams
• Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy across general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations while leading the monthly close process
• Lead and mentor Account Managers, delegating tasks, reviewing work, and implementing process improvements and software integrations

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience, including multi-client management and leading month-end close processes
• Higher-education accounting degree; CPA firm or public accounting experience preferred
• Expertise in financial reporting, GAAP, lease accounting, and revenue recognition
• Proven experience in operational accounting oversight, including bookkeeping and maintaining internal controls
• Strong delegation and coaching skills with a focus on mentoring others in advanced accounting practices
