Financial Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing finance team, the full-time Financial Controller will manage month-end reporting, oversee the finance operations team, and develop AI-driven processes to enhance financial workflows in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
• Manage the Accountant handling FinOps, building scalable processes for high-volume transactions across B2C and B2B sectors
• Oversee the finance tech stack and automate repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency within the finance team

Required qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred; ACCA or CIMA considered) with 2+ years PQE
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally in both practice and industry
• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment, particularly with high-volume B2C subscription and/or B2B SaaS
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and best practices, along with proficiency in Excel
• Demonstrable experience using AI tools like Claude in finance workflows
