Job Summary
Resourceful and proactive, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll operations, and tax compliance while supporting month-end close activities in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, bill runs, and invoice resolution
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
- Prepare and submit multi-state sales tax filings and assist with month-end close support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proven ability to take initiative and resolve operational issues efficiently
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with tools such as Avalara, PEO platforms, or CRM software
