Financial Controller (Construction)

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller (Construction) to manage accounting operations and financial reporting for a remote, full-time position, focusing on overseeing financial close processes, internal controls, and team leadership within a growing portfolio of construction-related businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Oversee general ledger activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
• Design and implement internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Required Qualifications

• Construction accounting experience, including job costing and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience preparing consolidated financial statements
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct
