Job Summary

To support patient financial needs, the full-time remote Financial Counselor L3 will manage patient coverage information, assist with financial applications, and ensure seamless communication with medical staff while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Contacts patients to collect accurate coverage information and verifies eligibility with payors
• Assesses patients' financial ability to pay for services and refers them to financial counseling when necessary
• Creates estimates, collects copayments, and educates patients on their financial responsibilities

Required qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher, or High school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
• Experience with PC applications including MS Office and Internet
• Ability to maintain employer training requirements
