FinOps Director

Job Summary

Owning the hosting/cloud cost transparency, the full-time FinOps Director will build reporting and dashboards on cost drivers, partner with engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities, and establish governance for AI/GPU compute while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build reporting and dashboards on unit economics and cost drivers by product, team, and workload
• Partner with engineering to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities, including rightsizing and architecture changes
• Manage cost and pricing tradeoffs across multi-cloud infrastructure and translate infrastructure costs into cost-to-serve metrics

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or operational cost management with proven experience leading enterprise-wide cost initiatives
• Demonstrated track record of reducing cloud/hosting spend at scale (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience building governance processes and cross-functional accountability in a highly visible role
• Proven ability to establish cross-functional governance structures across Finance, Product, and Engineering leadership
• Deep familiarity with multi-cloud architectures and high-volume data ingestion/telemetry pipelines
