FinOps Engineer
Job Summary
Driving cost optimization and cloud financial governance, the full-time FinOps Engineer will work remotely to analyze billing trends, build cost attribution frameworks, and automate cost governance across AWS and GCP infrastructures.
Key responsibilities
- Find and ship savings across AWS and GCP by analyzing billing, usage, and cost trends
- Build and maintain cost attribution frameworks, including tagging policies and chargeback/showback systems
- Automate cost governance through scripting and infrastructure-as-code to enforce cost policies
Required qualifications
- Strong expertise in AWS and working knowledge of GCP, including pricing models and cost optimization
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Python, Terraform, and Lambda
- Experience with cost/billing tools like AWS Cost Explorer and GCP Billing Reports
- Prior experience in a FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud governance role
- Ability to analyze cost data and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
