Fintech Risk Associate

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Fintech Risk, the full-time Fintech Risk Associate will independently execute risk-management activities across the Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) portfolio, serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders and fintech partners while managing due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and remediation efforts in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead risk-based due diligence for prospective fintech partners, evaluating various risk factors and presenting findings to senior management
• Own pre- and post-launch risk and compliance requirements for new partners, ensuring launch-readiness and tracking commitments
• Conduct ongoing monitoring and risk reviews for assigned partners, assessing adherence to policies and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications:

• Typically 5-8 years of experience in banking, fintech, risk management, or a related field
• Strong experience with financial crimes compliance, including BSA/AML and fraud risk
• Working knowledge of banking and payments compliance regulations
• Experience with Third-Party Risk Management and related interagency guidance
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
