Job Summary
To support the development of fire alarm system design, the full-time remote Fire Alarm CAD Drafter will create and modify CAD drawings, maintain documentation standards, and ensure compliance with applicable codes under the guidance of senior project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and maintain fire alarm system drawings using FireCAD and AutoCAD
- Produce project documentation including floor plans, riser diagrams, and device layouts
- Assist with code compliance reviews and support permit submittals
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years' experience in FireCAD, AutoCAD, or other design/drafting software
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 and basic fire alarm system concepts
- Ability to read architectural, electrical, and construction drawings
- Exposure to fire alarm, low-voltage, electrical, or construction industries
