Job Summary
Offering a part-time on-call opportunity, the Fire Plans Examiner will review plans for compliance with fire and building codes, create detailed review letters, and stay updated on fire legislation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review plans for code compliance with applicable fire and building codes
- Create review letters detailing code reviews and required changes
- Research and review fire legislation, codes, and ordinances to remain current on updates
Required qualifications
- ICC Fire Plans Examiner certification required
- Fire plan review experience strongly preferred
- ICC Fire Inspector I and II certifications are a plus
- Extensive knowledge of local building codes and construction procedures
- Ability to interpret codes and provide compliant solutions in the field
