Firmware Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of firmware and machine learning engineers, the full-time remote Firmware Engineering Manager will drive the edge AI strategy, oversee the deployment of intelligent safety features, and establish technical strategies for high-performance production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers to build, optimize, and deploy AI models on fleet and industrial devices
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in the design and implementation of production systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn AI capabilities into shipped products and shape the engineering roadmap

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of technical management experience in an execution-oriented role
• 8+ years of experience in embedded systems and edge machine learning development
• Proven track record of managing a team that has shipped a mass production product
• Experience deploying computer vision/machine learning models on edge devices
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Rust
