Job Summary
To support the Live creation experience, the remote Firmware Software Engineer will manage production support and on-call coverage, debug issues across web and backend systems, and implement bug fixes and feature enhancements in a mature codebase.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in the Live creation on-call rotation, handling triage, investigation, and root cause analysis of production issues
- Debug and resolve issues spanning web frontend and backend services in the Live creation stack
- Document findings and fixes to ensure knowledge retention within the team
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in senior full stack web and backend development, with strong JavaScript or TypeScript and React skills
- 5+ years of production support and on-call experience in high-traffic consumer products
- Proven ability to work independently in a large, unfamiliar codebase with minimal direction
- Experience with debugging and mitigating live issues, including root cause analysis
- Strong background in shipping bug fixes and reliability improvements
