Firmware Validation Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the hardware and system validation team, the remote Firmware Validation Engineer will develop and execute test plans, conduct various testing types to ensure firmware functionality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and strategies for firmware validation
- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to validate firmware functionality and stability
- Collaborate with firmware developers and hardware engineers to identify and resolve issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in firmware validation, embedded systems, or hardware validation environments
- Strong knowledge of firmware development processes, bootloaders, and device drivers
- Hands-on experience with Python, C, or C++ for test automation and validation scripting
- Proficiency with hardware debugging tools and version control systems
