Flight Software Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting Lockheed Martin's Orion Program, the full-time Flight Software Engineer will collaborate with a team of NASA and Lockheed Martin engineers to verify flight software for the Orion spacecraft, ensuring compliance with mission requirements in a hybrid/remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and software developers to verify flight software for the Orion spacecraft
- Own flight software requirements verification activities from initial requirements through final Run for Record
- Develop, execute, and analyze software verification tests to ensure compliance with program requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Previous software verification experience
- Advanced proficiency in Python, particularly for Software Test Engineering (SWTE)
- Working knowledge of Linux environments
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and ownership of technical tasks
