Florida Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the prior authorization request process, the full-time Florida Authorization Specialist will assist the utilization management team by documenting authorization requests, verifying member insurance coverage, and ensuring timely adjudication for payment in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Aids the utilization management team by tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals in accordance with policies
• Researches and documents necessary medical information for the authorization review process
• Performs data entry to maintain and update authorization requests in the utilization management system

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 - 2 years of related experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
• Must reside in the state of Florida
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship
