Florida Billing Account Representative

Job Summary

Responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and managing billing discrepancies, the full-time Florida Billing Account Representative will work remotely to submit claims, follow up on denied claims, and ensure compliance with billing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure accurate billing codes
• Submit claims to insurance payers and follow up on denied claims
• Communicate with insurance companies to clarify coverage details and assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in a revenue cycle department or related field
• Working knowledge of coverage, payment, compliance, and basic billing rules for Government and Managed Care payers
• Basic knowledge of CPT, ICD 10, and HCPCS coding standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, particularly Excel and Word
