Job Summary
Managing a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, the full-time Florida Licensed Associate Attorney in General Liability - Insurance Defense will provide strategic legal counsel, represent clients in court and arbitrations, and collaborate closely with partners and clients while meeting a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct file reviews and legal analyses of claims and causes of action
- Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions while managing deadlines and assignments independently
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Florida; additional bar admissions are a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant practice area
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations
