Florida Licensed Chargemaster Coordinator

Job Summary

To ensure accuracy in claims processing and data collection, the full-time Florida Licensed Chargemaster Coordinator will manage and maintain the hospital chargemaster while working remotely and collaborating with various departments to uphold regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Validate CPT and HCPCS Level II code assignments and coordinate quarterly chargemaster reviews for pricing accuracy
• Monitor compliance with hospital directives and develop reports on outpatient financial impact and profitability
• Provide training and resources to department staff regarding coding and chargemaster compliance

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; preferred Bachelor's degree in business administration or healthcare administration
• Extensive background in CPT and HCPCS coding, third-party billing, and reimbursement
• Familiarity with Information Systems mapping for chargemaster coding
• Proficiency in Excel and Word processing applications
• Licensed to practice nursing or practical nursing in Florida or possess a coding certification
